Our History

WHK Horwath is a dynamic accounting and financial planning practice with over 80 years experience in public practice. We are part of WHK Group Limited, a public company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. The WHK Horwath you see today has come about through mergers of several leading practices.

The first merger was Spectrum Accounting Services Pty Ltd and Cothwill Pty Ltd in 1998 to form Accountancy One Pty Ltd. The second merge of Accountancy One Pty Ltd and Smith Read saw the creation of Accountancy One Smith read (AOSR). During 2004, AOSR acquired the practice - Rogers Services Pty Ltd, and merged with Commercial Advisory Group. And in 2006 WHK Smith Read merged with Prescott Consultants (Vic) Pty Ltd a Financial Planning firm within the WHK Group to form WHK Smith Read Prescott.  Then in October 2007, after being invited to join the Horwath International affiliation, WHK Smith Read Prescott merged with the other Melbourne based WHK firms ( WHK Greenwoods and WHK Manning+Perry and Supermaster) to become WHK Horwath.

The combined practice has an expansive base of knowledge and resources to draw upon to provide a full spectrum of services to clients.
